The Pro Bono Honor Roll is an annual list released by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of NY, which recognizes attorneys for the “selfless commitment and dedication that pro bono service requires.” The Pro Bono Honor Roll was established in 2021, as part of the Court’s efforts to promote its pro bono counsel program as “a means of ensuring equal access to justice.” The 2025 Pro Bono Honor Roll acknowledges attorneys for their pro bono service to eligible pro se litigants in the District from July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025.
Barry N. Covert is a Senior Partner in Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria’s Criminal Defense department. He focuses his practice on representing defendants in complex litigation matters before federal and state courts, including White-Collar Criminal Defense, Violent Crime Defense, Zoning and Land Use Litigation, Professional Misconduct, Constitutional Law, Commercial Litigation, Cyber-Crimes, Title IX, Qui Tam Act, and Scientific Misconduct.
Melissa D. Wischerath is a Senior Partner in Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria’s Personal Injury department. She focuses her practice on holding wrongdoers accountable in a wide variety of wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases, including Car Accidents, Civil Rights Violations, Construction Injuries, Police Misconduct, Product Liability, Tractor Trailer Collisions, and other Personal Injury matters.
