Mr. Miller focuses his practice in the area of commercial litigation, serving businesses that are engaged in conflict with other entities as well as businesses that are forging relationships with new partners.

He takes a personalized approach to serving clients, closely examining the specific needs of a business and tailoring a litigation strategy that can achieve the best possible outcome for his clients while limiting their cost.

While Mr. Miller is skilled in handling a wide array of commercial litigation matters, he has particular experience serving clients in the following areas:

Business Dissolution:  Mr. Miller has successfully protected his clients’ interest in litigation concerning business dissolution as well as disputes between partners, shareholders, and joint-venture agreements.  Doctor’s groups, law firms, and closely-held businesses are among the clients he has served in these matters.

Licensing Agreements:  Mr. Miller has litigated and handled disputes concerning licensing and revenue sharing agreements for an international media conglomerate.

Construction Litigation: Mr. Miller has represented both general contractors and sub-contractors in construction litigation matters including claims for retainage, change orders, and scope of performance disputes.

Insurance Company Disputes: Mr. Miller has represented insureds in claims against insurance companies for wrongfully denying insurance coverage.

Mr. Miller has been named to Business First of Buffalo's Who's Who in Law for Commercial Litigation.

The following is a sample of legal matters Mr. Miller has handled for his clients.

Awarded Summary Judgment in clients' favor in highly contentious trade secret lawsuit where a competitor's claims of Stored Communications Act (hacking) violations were dismissed.

Successfully defended an owner of several Western New York retail stores against claims of a lease violation brought forth by a major landlord.

Successfully defended a client that purchased a medical practice's assets against claims of successor liability.

Successfully represented a manufacturer/supplier of custom-fabricated machinery in claim against a general contractor.  The matter settled for a value greater than the original invoice, based upon claim for interest and attorneys' fees.

Represented owner of Statler Towers in litigation concerning Court-appointed receiver and alleged breaches of a lease agreement.
